Greetings from Pune!

I am at Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) for general classes. But am fortunate enough to be an observer at the Yoga Intensive with Abhijata Sridhar (along with some other teachers). For the workshop, only junior teachers or practitioners with minimum of 3yrs, but less than or up to 10 years of practice, were accepted.

Its been a veritable treat!!! Abhijata's skill at imparting the essence of Ashtanga Yoga, which she clearly articulated as what BKS Iyengar (Guruji, to his students) taught us, was seamless.

She masterfully demonstrated during her teaching of any asana, how all of the 8 limbs (ashtanga =8) are involved, intertwining it with Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Abhijata explained why asanas are not just physical movements, and the importance of continued, consistent practice of them, in such a way that was accessible to even someone who knew nothing about yoga.

It is quite clear, the lineage is very strong.
