ABOUT JULIANA FAIR
Juliana Fair is a highly skilled teacher of Iyengar yoga. Using a straightforward and humorous teaching style, Juliana allows students to progress with safety, as they address the special issues and strengths of their own bodies. She builds her students’ confidence, and at the same time encourages them to learn about their potential and to go beyond their limitations.
Juliana began practicing yoga in 1974, discovered the Iyengar method in 1981, and began the certification process in 1986. Today Juliana is a CIYT (Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher) - LEVEL 3 and a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT).
Since 1990 Juliana has traveled annually to Pune, India, to study at RIMYI with the Iyengar family. She continues to supplement her trips to Pune by studying with senior teachers around the world. A native of Australia, Juliana has taught there, and in Singapore, and she has instructed elite athletes in the Institute of Sport of each of those countries.
These days Juliana resides in Northern Virginia and teaches primarily in the Washington, DC area. She continues to teach at conferences and workshops around the United States and abroad.
Her most recent undertaking is to assist aspiring teachers prepare for the Assessment Process to become certified Iyengar yoga teachers.
